    November hours: 2hr

     This month flew by so fast that it's already the last day of November and I still feel like this month just began. The exam right before the Thanksgiving break was my worst performance so far. I know I studied less and was very distracted due to the fact that I was going to visit a childhood friend in Philly. With only 2 weeks left in this semester, I really need to get back on track and grind for this last exam to save my grades a bit. 

    For service this month, thanks to Uma in our class, she led us to make some Thanksgiving cards for children, and I spent 2 hours making one with a sunflower design. It was a really great experience for me since it's been years I put my hands on some arts and crafts. I hope the children liked our cards made with love. I will also try to do more service in December before the exam. 





    I had a great Thanksgiving trip driving from New York all the way to D.C in 4 days, then spending my last day in Philly. There was a hiccup in our trip that we were involved in a car accident and I had to spend 5 hours in the ER waiting for tests. Fortunately there was nothing major, just some bruises and a neck sprain. But I will definitely be A LOT more cautious when driving around although I was not the one driving, but it was very scary and I was 1 second apart from losing my life.

 February service hours: 4 hours Total hours: 10 hours        This month flew by so fast with 2 shorter modules than the other ones, with a lot of study days. I kept myself very busy the first half of the month rotating between classes, lab, and home. On top of these, I also tried and threw in a little bit of MCAT CARS passage practices. However, it felt really hard to make it a habit doing MCAT practices everyday or regularly besides school.           This month was quite intense that I am having a hard time balancing school and MCAT prep. I didn’t do as well as I thought on the two PR exams we had this month. At the same time my sleep schedule is kind of messed up, and I haven’t been to the gym in a month or so. So I really want to take some efforts to put everything back on track in November.     It was very nice that I got to know a few of awesome classmates this month as well. Having a study buddy definitely helped a lot in my opinion in that when there’s someone around I wouldn’t be browsing on my phone for hours instead of actually studying, and that I could always ask if there’s something I don’t understand, and I think this communication is beneficial for both of us.   December hours: 12 Total hours fall semester: 19     What an incredible semester we had! Half way through this program, I feel like I really made the right decision by coming to here. So far I'm enjoying the weather, culture, food, and people here in New Orleans. Secondly, it did not take awhile for me to fall in love with Tulane already. I got to know more outstanding faculty and staff from Tulane SOM through some networking events throughout these months, and they all had such great stories to tell and knowledge to pass on. I learned more about the med school curriculum and teaching style, saw how great the Murphy building is, and so much more...     I greatly enjoyed the content of our classes, especially Med Pharm.
